On Saturday, February 22, eight Science Honor Society members competed at the 68^th annual Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science meeting held at Slippery Rock University.  Ivan Chen (12), Elaina Donahue (11), Abby Stack (11), Aubrey Popp (11), Autumn Zacherl (11), Teagan Hmel (11), and Cruz Sanders (10) all received a first-place award and the opportunity to compete at the state competition in May. Mariana Marino Escobar (10) also completed and received a 2^nd place award. We also had one special award winner – Cruz Sanders won the Senior High Botany Directors Award. We are so proud to have such a great, intelligent group of students! Thank you to Ms. Finch and Mrs. Weston for being PJAS sponsors. Also thank you to SV Foundation for covering the cost of the entrance fees.
