The Seneca Valley Academic Decathlon team achieved an outstanding victory at the USAD Pennsylvania Regional Competition held at Moniteau High School on February 14-15, 2025. The team earned an impressive 1st place finish, setting a new SV Academic Decathlon record with a historic team score of 44,601 points—the highest ever achieved by Seneca Valley!

Academic Decathlon is a rigorous competition covering ten events in diverse subject areas, all tied to an annual curricular theme. This year’s theme, Climate Change, challenged students to demonstrate their knowledge across multiple disciplines.

In addition to the team’s remarkable success, Rohin Jayaraman made history by setting a new Pennsylvania state record with a stunning individual score of 8,483 points!
